Storage Heater Grants 2018
The Government has announced it's intention to start a new ECO Scheme from October 2018. Known as ECO3, it is expected to extend household qualification rules but restrict which heating systems can be replaced.
Storage Heater Grants 2018 to 2022 are expected to be made available to a much wider group of households than before.
The table below shows a comparison of qualifying households under existing rules and proposed rules.
ECO3 - Eligible Energy Efficient Products
Although Storage Heater Grants 2018 to 2o22 are expected to continue with ECO3, changes have been made to the rules regarding qualifying heating and insulation products.
Storage Heater Grants 2018 - Broken Storage Heaters
Storage Heater Grants 2018 – Grants will available to replace electric storage heaters if all of the storage heaters in a property are broken and they can’t be economically repaired.
Storage Heater Grants 2018 - Inefficient Storage Heaters
Storage Heater Grants 2018 – Electric storage heaters which are inefficient (but not broken) may be qualify for grants to replace them if certain insulation measures are carried out at the same time. These measures exclude loft insulation, but include:
- Cavity wall insulation
- Solid wall insulation
- Room in roof insulation
- Flat roof insulation
- Insulation of a residential park home
- Under floor insulation
